RULES AND GUIDELINES
The competition is open to artists from all over the world. We only ask that you are 18 years of age or older, and that your artwork is within the realm of Visual and Installation Art.
Artists need to fill out the online form in the submission page, upload artwork images for each track they are applying for, and complete the submission fee payment to complete the process. A non-refundable fee of $30.00 must be paid for each submission by track. Up to five images can be submitted for each track. Artists are recommended to submit a statement including concept, installation design where applicable, philosophy, and description of the work. Check the submission page for more details.
Submission deadline: March 31st, 2012 – midnight EST
Announcement of Winners: April 30th, 2012 – noon EST
Our judges will be assessing the artwork based on five criteria:
- Success and Originality in Manifesting the Theme,
- Aesthetic and Creative Vision,
- Technical Execution,
- Relevance of Content,
- Potential Development in the Art World.
Judging will be done in two stages.
- Each judge will have online access to each submission and independently rate the work based on a 30-point rating system.
- The selected top 15 artists (five from each track), will then be required to submit additional portfolio material.
The final round of judging will be held through web-conference by majority vote.
The decisions of the jurors of the contest are final and no discussion or correspondence can be entered into regarding their decision.
The three winners will be announced on April 30th, 2012.
